NAGPUR: The Nagpur bench of Bombay High Court granted time to Sanchayani Complex owner Subhash Patil to file reply by February 21.

In the last hearing, the court had issued a bailable warrant against him for failure to remain present during the hearings into a PIL by Poonam Pride Condominium residents. Through lawyer Deven Chauhan, the petitioners highlighted their plight due to nearby Sanchayani Complex at Khamla Square, which has turned into a dumping ground. HC also directed Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) to provide separate garbage bins for wet and dry waste to citizens. The court had specified charged for the bins according to the market rates.

On Friday, Patil, through his counsel, prayed for time to file reply, which was granted. The residents of the area had filed a PIL claiming the entire Sanchayani premises had become a breeding ground for mosquitoes due to accumulation of water and garbage.
