Margaret Quinn Henderson, 84, of Wilson, formerly of Carteret County, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018.

Her service is at 1 p.m. Monday at Trenton Cemetery in Trenton.

Margaret was born March 26, 1933, in Jones County, the daughter of the late Herbert and Annie Mills Quinn. She was a graduate of Trenton High School and married James W. Henderson on April 15, 1952. Margaret resided in numerous places during her life, including Sicily, Iceland, Trenton, Jacksonville, Fla., Milton, Fla., Hollywood, Md., Stella, Cape Carteret and Wilson. She was employed 20 years as a U.S. Navy wife and 30 years as an owner/broker/Realtor in Southern Maryland, where she earned numerous real estate sales awards. Her church memberships included Midway United Methodist Church in Stella, Trenton Methodist Church in Trenton and First Methodist Church in Milton, Fla. Margaret received immense pleasure and satisfaction from her hobby of gardening. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, James William Henderson; two daughters, Jennifer DiMartino and husband Andrew of Tahuya, Wash., and Cindy Vissa and husband Barry of Webster, N.Y.; two grandchildren, Dale Haskins Jr. and Lindsay Haskins; a stepgrandson, Barry Vissa Jr.; and two sisters, Marie Rasnick of Madison, Miss., and Sadie Uecker of Wilson.
