Quest rallies in final minute to knock off Farmington

The Quest boys basketball team fought hard for a 50-47 nonconference victory over host Farmington on Friday.

The Gators trailed by 10 with 1:25 left in the fourth, but made defensive stops and got to the free throw line to seal the win.

DQ Gilbert banked in two 3-pointers in the last minute to cut into the deficit for Quest (20-6). Gilbert finished with 13 points.

"We changed up things on defense and knew that we needed to get to the line to stop the clock," Quest coach Michael Jenkins said. "We had four free throws in the last minute."

Jacob Uryasz had 12 points to lead the Farmers (19-3), while teammates Jarod DePriest and Nick Johnson each added 11 points.

Terrell Walker joined Gilbert in double-digit scoring with a team-high 14 points for Quest.
