When George Groves and James DeGale brought the house down with their all-London clash for the British and Commonwealth 12st titles in May 2011, it bucked the trend. 

Perhaps the blue moon earlier this week was symbolic with the cruiserweight prospects Lawrence Okolie and Isaac Chamberlain laying it all on the line tonight in a bill-topper with plenty of beef inside that giant tent top at the 02 Arena, live on Sky Sports. It's presented by Eddie Hearn in association with AJ BOXING, Anthony Joshua's first venture into promoting. We've seen plenty of British battles which have not been for top belts, with serious animosity between the protagonists: David Haye and Tony Bellew, Haye vs Dereck Chisora, Chisora vs Dillian Whyte. And so on. It is not always about the belts. Begging rights can be so much more important to a young fighter.
