A woman NGO worker was killed and another injured as a truck smashed a motorcycle in front of Tepakhola bridge in Faridpur town on Saturday morning.
Deceased Rikta Akter, 32, was the field worker of non-government organization of FDA.
Officer in-Charge (OC) of Kotwali Police Station Nizamuddin said a truck rammed into a motorcycle in front of Tepakhola bridge while Rikta and Panna Akter, 22, was going to their office riding on motorcycle, leaving the duo injured.
They were rushed to Faridpur Sadar Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared Rikta dead, the OC added.
