PROVIDENCE -- Austin Czarnik scored his second goal of the game on a power play with 25 seconds left in overtime to lift the Providence Bruins to a 2-1 victory over the Hartford Wolf Pack at the Dunkin' Donuts Center on Friday night.
Czarnik slid the puck past Hartford goalie Alexander Georgiev (48 saves) after a perfect pass from Jordan Szwarz. Just over a minute before the goal, Georgiev was penalized for delay of game when he shot the puck over the glass and into the crowd.
Hartford's Ryan Sproul opened the scoring at 8:19 of the second period after a pass from Adam Tambellini.
Czarnik tied the game with an unassisted power-play goal at 17:30 of the second period.
Providence had a wide edge in puck possession throughout the game and outshot the Wolf Pack, 50-21.
Zane McIntyre stopped 20 shots for the P-Bruins.
