India vs Australia U-19 World Cup Final: Here is how Twitter congratulated Indian team for winning the tournament

Boys in Blue lifted the ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup for the record fourth time after defeating Australia in the final by 8 wickets at the Bay Oval in Tauranga. With this victory, India becomes the most successful side in the tournament history. Chasing a paltry total of 217, India were powered by opener Manjot Kalra’s unbeaten 101.
India’s chase got off to a decent start with openers Prithvi Shaw and Kalra playing some confident shots early on. However, heavens opened and the play was stopped. Fortunately, the rain eased out soon and no overs were lost. India once again began their chase in a positive way with openers going past the fifty-run stand. It was left-handed batsman Kalra who played some breathtaking shots at will that kept India going.
Meanwhile, many on social media applauded India’s historic victory. Sachin Tendulkar, Aakash Chopra, Anil Kumble, President Ram Nath Kovind extended their wishes to the Prithvi Shaw-led U-19 team.

The Rahul Dravid coached side eventually completed the target in 38.5 overs with the partnership between Kalra and Desai (41 not out) worth unbeaten 89. Interestingly, following the win, India stayed unbeaten in the tournament. The Shaw-led side played six matches and apparently emerged victorious in all their fixtures.
To note, India won the toss and bowled Australia for just 216 runs. Jonathan Merlo made a solid 76.
