Job Description
The European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) is one of the highest ranked scientific research organizations in the world. The Headquarters Laboratory is located in Heidelberg (Germany), with additional sites in Barcelona (Spain), Grenoble (France), Hamburg (Germany), Hinxton (UK) and Rome (Italy).Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should be dynamic and motivated with an appropriate university degree in computer science, bioinformatics or biostatistics (master degree with 2+ years of experience or PhD), and a strong interest in quantitative biology, systematic approaches and gene regulation mechanisms. Prior experience in programming and statistics is required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team is mandatory.
The successful candidate must be proficient in spoken and written English. Expertise in R, next generation sequencing and data modeling is an asset. The position is offered for an initial term of 2 years (renewable).
