THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Swamy alias Mithun, who beat up a youth to death for questioning alleged misbehaviour with his sister, attempted suicide on Saturday. He reached the girl’s house this morning and took the extreme step. On being informed, police reached the spot and took him to the Irinjalakude Cooperative Hospital. His condition is stated to be stable.

Sujith Venugopal from Korumbissery was assaulted by Mithun, when he asked the latter not to misbehave with his sister.  The accused was absconding ever since. The police also issued a lookout notice to ensure that the accused, from Kattoor in Thrissur, does not give them the slip.
