Dear Sabiha Apu
This is Mina (pseudonym). Yesterday was the first day of my college. It's really huge and there are a lot of people but I have no friends.  I am a small town girl. In Dhaka I live with my uncle. My cousins are not at all friendly. I feel lonely as I don't have any friend. I felt like crying. I miss my old friends and my old school. Give me suggestion to recover this situation.

Dear Mina, how are you feeling right now is very normal reaction to any new situation. It's really stressful as well as painful as you have lots of happy memories with old friend who are not beside you at this moment, you are living in a relatives place and the Dhaka city shore making you low. Don't judge these negative feeling, everything is temporary and will definitely change soon. Just allow yourself to wave out these negative emotions. Where you from doesn't matter at all. You are here because of your ability and confidence. Keep being positive and open to yourself as well as others who will be in touch with you soon. Try to initiate conversation with everyone and to be mindful in present. If you walk into your past it will add more negative emotions to current one. Hope this will help you. Also you can have talk with your other friends over phone or messenger. Sharing helps a lot to drain painful feelings.
