Reports on pending Hry Krishi Yojana cases sought

Principal Secretary, Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department, Abhilaksh Likhi on Friday directed all Deputy Directors of Agriculture and officers of Horticulture and Agriculture Departments to ensure sending the pending cases of ‘Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana’ and the Central and State-sponsored schemes of 2017-18, to the headquarters.

He also directed them to prepare draft of schemes for organic farming and solution to deal with problem of crop stubble as special emphasis has been laid on these in the Union Budget 2018-19.

Presiding over a review meeting with Directors of Agriculture and officers of Agriculture and Horticulture Departments, through video conferencing from here, he directed the officers that farmers should be made aware about the flagship programmes of the Centre and the State Governments. He said that 250 farmers have been registered under Climate-Smart Agriculture therefore emphasis should be laid on it.

Likhi said that organic farming clusters of 50 acres each would be developed under the Central Government scheme. He said that states of Haryana, Punjab, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh would prepare joint scheme to deal with problem of crop stubble. He said that officers should also set up coordination with Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board for 'Bhavantar Bharpayee Yojana'.Director, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department, D.K. Behera informed that online applications of 6,338 farmers have been received for subsidy on agricultural equipment. and subsidy of about Rs 48 crore has been distributed to 6,182 of these applicants.
