NATALIE HICKS
An obese woman transformed her life by losing nine stone in just 18 months.
Natalie Hicks, from Queensland, Australia, turned to food for comfort after her dad passed away.
The self-confessed “emotional eater” ballooned to 20st, before medical experts warned that her unhealthy diet was killing her.
This was the motivation the 24-year-old needed – and she looks completely unrecognisable nowadays.
Natalie piled on the pounds due to her addiction to carb-heavy meals, loading up her plate with big portions of chips, potatoes and bread.
She also had a sweet tooth, binging on tubs-full of icecream.
The dieter first began feeling self-conscious about her weight after she saw an unflattering photo of herself.
When she expressed this sadness to her mum and sister, they staged an intervention.

Her family members, who are both qualified nurses, warned that her health complications upped her risk of dying at a young age.
The slimmer spoke to FEMAIL about this moment, remembering: “For me that was enough of a wake up call to realise where I was heading but it was hard because I was in such a denial stage because I didn't think I was as big as I was.”
With this new-found determination, Natalie began exercising with a personal trainer at her local gym.
As well as working out six days a week, she deiced to switch up her eating habits.

She now sticks to the Keto diet, a low carbohydrate plan that’s designed to help your body burn away fat.
This regime is less restrictive than others, as you don’t have to cut out foods that are seen as unhealthy.
Natalie said: ”You're allowed to have cheeses and products like cream and sour cream and you can have fun meals.
“I’ve got a really good relationship with food now, I'm at a healthy state where I can eat and exercise and not feel guilty for eating something that you would classify as naughty or junk food.”
Since exercising more and thinking differently about her calorie-intake, Natalie has lost a whopping 9st.
She has even managed to reverse her fatty liver, which doctors said would be a difficult task.
The 24-year-old is delighted to have got her “health on track” and hopes to continue making this progress in the future.
