ASHEBORO — This weaving workshop with Jean Vollrath will introduce students to basic tapestry techniques.


Using pre-warped looms, students will begin with a sample piece for practice, then apply their skills to creating a small pillow face. All materials will be provided.


Students are encouraged to bring any wool and wool blend yarns left over from other projects if they have them. Class will meet from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, and resume at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17.


Students should bring a bag lunch. Class will continue until mid-afternoon on Saturday.


The studio will reopen at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 18, for students who need to complete their projects.


Cost of class is $150 for members or $160 for non-members. Enrollment deadline is Friday, Feb. 9. Class is for ages 18 and up.
