Bismarck nearly shutsout DHS wrestling

BISMARCK — Dickinson High wrestler Todd Irwin was the only member of his team to win a match in a dual against Bismarck High on Friday, Feb. 2. Irwin won his 138-pound match 6-2 over Bismarck’s Jared Honeyman, earning three points for his team. However, a coaches misconduct took two points off of Dickinson’s final score, so the final score read 63-1.

The Demons won four matches by fall, two by technical fall and two by major decision.

In the 160-pound match, Caleb Usher wrestled Gage Roaldson, who narrowly beat him 15-12.

Midget Jaren Berger fell by a 4-0 margin to Laken Boese in the 120-pound match.

The 132-pound match was the closest, with Demon Adam DeBoer earning a 5-3 sudden victory over Dickinson’s Koletan Hafey.
