Samantha Harvey and Jimmy Beverage of Bowie announce the birth of a son, Slaytin Alexander Beverage, on Jan. 30, 2018, at Wise Health Systems in Decatur.

He weighed 6 pounds, 1 ounce and was 19 1/2 inches long.

He has one brother, Jimmy Daon Beverage Jr.; and one sister, Charley Deason.

Grandparents are Keith and Leslie Shaw and John and Connie Thomas.

Great-grandparents are Kay and Charles Fuller.
