Where to watch Super Bowl LII in Toronto

Get ready to tailgate, Toronto.

As the Philadelphia Eagles get set to battle the New England Patriots at Super Bowl LII, football fans in Hogtown are scoping out the best places to watch the game on Sunday. Half-time buffets, giveaways and chicken wings and parties are all part of the plan. Kick-off is at 6:30 p.m.

Here’s where to watch Super Bowl LII in Toronto:

1. Real Sports Bar and Grill: This Air Canada Centre locale has a cover charge of $10 per person. Fans can win prizes for the most creative tweet, which will be displayed on the bar’s largest screen. The winner of best picture tweeted out wins a jersey. There are also other prize draws throughout the night. While there are 211 TVs to watch the action, nothing beats the huge big screen. Doors open at 5 p.m., located at 15 York St.

2. Love Child Social House: If you’re looking to cheer on your team with a group of friends, this Bathurst St. bar is hosting a Super Bowl party for large private groups. The All-Star Package at $550 (plus tax and gratuity) includes five game day tickets, game time food, a bottle of premium spirit, 12 beers and one celebratory champagne. Starts at 3 p.m., located at 69 Bathurst St.

3. The Office Pub: This rowdy John St. pub is the place to be for its seventh-annual Office Bowl Party. The $45 cover charge gets you entry, three domestic drinks and an all-you-can-eat buffet. There are 30 HD screens with full sound spread over three floors. The shindig promises a special halftime performance and a chance to win a $500 travel voucher from Flight Centre. Starts at 4:30 p.m., located at 117 John St.

4. Stone Church: This church is hosting a spectacular Super Bowl Party featuring a chili cook-off contest, door prizes, games, food and of course the Super Bowl on huge projector screens. Family friendly, open to everyone and it’s free. Starts at 6 p.m., located at 45 Davenport Rd.

Covenant House and Good Shepherd: In 2017, both of these shelters held Super Bowl pizza parties and this year, they’re continuing that tradition of providing Toronto’s homeless community with the “opportunity to come together to experience this game” while people are going through hard times in their lives. Covenant House party starts 4 p.m., located at 20 Gerrard St. E.; Good Shepherd party begins at 6 p.m., located at 412 Queen St. E.

7. Earlscourt BBQ: This St. Clair barbecue joint is offering Super Bowl take-out or “put on pants specials,” including racks of ribs, chicken wings, pork nachos and fries. Dine-in patrons will also get a bonus of two cans of “crushable beers” with every order. Located at 1278 St. Clair Ave. W.

8. Wahlburgers: No doubt the Wahlberg brothers are New England fans. They even have Patriots-themed GRONK burgers named after the team’s tight end Rob Gronkowski. Its Toronto location also has a live DJ and giveaways during its Super Bowl party and people are encouraged to use the hashtag #PATSCENTRALTO. Starts at 3 p.m., located at 46 Blue Jays Way.
