Jammu and Kashmir government today said that it will look into a complaint that girls during the training course of police being not allowed to wear headscarf.

Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Abdul Rehman Veeri informed the State legislative Assembly at Jammu today that the matter regarding wearing of headscarf by girls during training in police will be taken up with the Director General of Police.

The Minister said this after the issue was raised by MLA Kargil Asgar Ali Karbalie during Zero Hour in Legislative Assembly.

Kabalie had asked why girls selected for constable grade weren't allowed to wear headscarf.
