Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanasamy today accused the BJP-led government at the Centre of according "step-motherly" treatment to the Union Territory. "We have planned a lot of development projects, but we are not getting funds from the centre," he said. Stating that the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax was causing a revenue loss of Rs 45 crore per month for the Puducherry government, Narayanasamy said the loss was not being reimbursed by the centre in a timely manner. "We face a lot of delay in getting the reimbursement," he said. Rangasamy said ever since the BJP-led NDA Government took over not even a single new train was introduced for both Puducherry and Karaikal. "Against all odds and step-motherly treatment, we are making our own efforts for revenue generation and making rapid progress in tourism, education, industrial development and agriculture," Narayanasamy said.
