Police on Friday busted a fake currency note racket in Baripada and arrested its kingpin.
As many as 94 fake currency notes in denomination of Rs 2000 were seized from the possession of Sheikh Saliuddin, the arrested accused hailing from the Basta area of Baleswar district.
Notably, two students had been arrested on Wednesday after a transaction by them at a shop using fake currency notes. The shopkeeper had handed them over to police.
During questioning, involvement of Sheikh Saliuddin in the racket came to he fore, on the basis of which police arrested him on Friday.
