Spice Girls to work together again

(MENAFN - Gulf Times) The Spice Girls have confirmed that they are planning to work together again on some 'new opportunities, almost two decades after they split up.
The confirmation came hours after the five — Victoria Beckham, Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm, Geri Horner and Emma Bunton — began sharing photos on social media of a catch-up at Horner's home outside London.
'We have enjoyed a wonderful afternoon catching-up and reminiscing about the amazing times we have spent together, the band said in a statement.
'We are always overwhelmed at how much interest there is across the whole world for The Spice Girls. The time now feels right to explore some incredible new opportunities together, the statement continued.
Horner had earlier posted a picture of the five on her Instagram account, saying 'Lovely seeing the girls #girlpower is alive and well while Bunton wrote 'the future is looking spicy!
It was reportedly the first time the five had all been in the same room since 2012.
The Sun tabloid reported that they would get £10mn each for new projects and that Beckham had sought assurances that she would not have to sing.
The band shot to fame in 1996 with the single Wannabe and went on to have a series of number one hits including Who Do You Think Are, 2 Become 1 and Viva Forever.
The band even made a film, Spice World.
They split up in 2000, though they reunited for a tour of Europe and the United States in 2008 and also performed at the Olympic closing ceremony in London in 2012.
