THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: It has been revealed that the person who gave the petition seeking not to cancel the phone conversation case against Transport Minister A K Saseendran is the maid of the PA of former minister Thomas Chandy.
It is Mahalakshmi, a native of Thycaud and one who looks after the children of Sreekumar, personal secretary of Thomas Chandy, who is the petitioner. Nevertheless, Sreekumar has claimed that he has no role behind the petition submitted by Mahalakshmi, and that she submitted the petition on her own accord.
Though Mahalakshmi had submitted a petition at the Thiuvananthapuram Chief Judicial Magistrate Court seeking not to cancel the phone conversation case against A K Saseendran, the court had rejected it. Mahalakshmi then petitioned at the Kerala High Court seeking to nullify the order by the lower court and to reinvestigate the case.
She has said in her petition that she too has a daughter, and that acquitting Saseendran was not right as it is a matter of women safety in general. She has also said in her petition that the female reporter, who was the complainant in the case against Saseendran, withdrew her case only because of fear.
