Saints RB Alvin Kamara and Marshon Lattimore were named the NFL's Offensive and Defensive Rookie of the Year, respectively, on Saturday night. The duo made New Orleans the first club since the 1967 Detroit Lions to have the NFL's two most outstanding rookies, as voted on by the Associated Press.

Kamara, the 67th overall pick, totaled 13 touchdowns and 1,554 yards from scrimmage on just 201 touches, instantly becoming one of the game's more unique and explosive, and it's most efficient running back.

Lattimore, the 11th overall pick, was the key addition to a vastly improved Saints 'D' that finished third in interception rate and 10th in points allowed. The Saints hadn't finished higher than 22nd in interceptions or 28th in points allowed since 2013, their last playoff appearance prior to going to 11-5 and winning the NFC South this season.
