DGP opens Khel Gaon at OSAP premises
Bhubaneswar: DGP Dr RP Sharma inaugurated a Khel Gaon (Sports Village) in the premises of the OSAP 7th Battalion here on the occasion of the 70th State Police Athletic Championship, 2018 on Thursday. As many as 990 athletes from 52 police districts and establishments are participating in the four-day-long event at the Kalinga Stadium here from Friday.
CDA observes Wetlands Day
Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of the World Wetlands Day, the Chilika Development Authority (CDA) organised a State-level function here on Friday. The CDA had organised drawing and photo competition on the topic ‘Wetland and its conservation’ here recently with an aim to create awareness on importance of wetlands and their conservation among students. Many students of different schools participated in the competitions. During the function, the winners of the competitions were felicitated.
