PEORIA — A man returning to his home in the 400 block of West Wilcox Avenue on Thursday afternoon found a broken window and discovered his handgun missing, according to a Peoria Police report.

After entering the house and seeing the broken window, the man went back outside and saw the suspect running westbound, the report said.

The victim provided police with the serial number and model of the handgun. Police are still investigating the incident.
