Scenes of crime officers closed off a stretch of road following a serious collision in Nuneaton.
Last night and into this morning, Haunchwood Road was shut at its junction with Westbury Road.
A police car was positioned close to the crossing and Vale View park, stopping cars.
Scenes of crime officers were in the area but the cordon has now been lifted.
Unconfirmed reports suggest they were in the area as part of investigations into a motorbike accident last night.
A post on Facebook read: “A motorcyclist hit our neighbors car last night. He came off the bike by the crossing but the bike carried on towards the pub. He is in hospital.”
