Mark Lipsky, the man who assisted with the production of a musical collaboration between Shabba Ranks and Eddie Murphy titled I Was a King, has inked a deal for the production of the upcoming film, So Enticing, which is slated to be shot in Jamaica later this year.
Lipsky is known worldwide for his role as executive producer for big-screen hits such as Coming to America (1988), Another 48 Hrs (1990), Boomerang (1992), Beverly Hills Cop III (1994), and The Nutty Professor (1996).
Lipsky was also consulting producer on Iniquity (2012), directed and written by Joshua Coates of 20/20 Visions Entertainment Group out of Los Angeles.
Five local celebrities are in talks with Coates for So Enticing. They are Shenseea, Konshens, Ding Dong, Chris Gayle, and Shaggy. Coates is convinced that the partnership with Lipsky will be profitable.
"He has several motion pictures already in development, but he has agreed to take on this additional project because he shares my vision, passion, and sincere love for Jamaica. We are focused on producing one of the best films Jamaica has seen," Coates said.
Lipsky, who is currently president of WOF Films based in New York, also managed the careers of Eddie Murphy, Chris Rock, Arsenio Hall, Dan Aykroyd, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus and managed the affairs of Saturday Night Live television show-owner Loren Michael.
