Sheriff’s Office Arrests
• 8:12 p.m. Wednesday, 2600 block of Sand Creek Road, Terry Rugg, 66, Ottawa, on suspicion of driving under the influence, after the 2007 Nissan he was driving eastbound on Sand Creek Road failed to stop at a stop sign, drove through an intersection and came to rest in a ditch, according to a sheriff’s report.
• 2:31 p.m. Thursday, Franklin County Adult Detention Center, 305 S. Main St., Cody Nettleton, 18, Melvern, on two Franklin County warrants for failing to submit himself to the Franklin County jail.

• 7:16 p.m. Wednesday, 600 block of South Elm Street, Danielle Fast, 18, Ottawa, on suspicion of battering a known 21-year-old Ottawa man.
• 1:28 a.m. Friday, 700 block of South Willow Street, Kevin Adams, 22, Ottawa, on suspicion of driving under the influence and no insurance, after committing a traffic infraction.

• 2:40 p.m. Friday, 200 block of Franklin Street, Pomona, a 22-year-old Pomona woman called to report a protection order violation.
Accidents
• 7:45 a.m. Wednesday, 3200 block of Marshall Road, a 2015 Chrysler Town & Country driven by Rae Warren, 59, Ottawa, was westbound on Marshall Road when it struck a deer that entered the roadway.
• 8:53 a.m. Wednesday, 3600 block of K-68, a 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by Cody Agler, 26, Emporia, was westbound on K-68 when it struck a tractor being operated by David Kile, 71, Ottawa. Kile was transported to Ransom Memorial Hospital, 1301 S. Main St., Ottawa, for treatment of his injuries. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage.
• 9:20 p.m. Wednesday, 2000 block of U.S. 59, a vehicle driven by Gary Loyd, 34, Wichita, was northbound on U.S. 59 when it struck a coyote that entered the roadway.

• 11:38 a.m. Thursday, Ottawa Police Department, 715 W. Second St., a 15-year-old Ottawa girl reported an aggravated indecent liberties with a child. The case is under investigation.

• 1:21 p.m. Wednesday, DIY, 2204 S. Princeton St., a 50-year-old Ottawa man reported an unknown subject stole items from the store.
• 8:44 a.m. Thursday, 2500 block of South Elm Street, a 61-year-old Richmond man reported an unknown subject entered vehicles and stole multiple items.
• 9:31 a.m. Thursday, 500 block of South Cedar Street, a 64-year-old Lindsborg man reported an unknown subject broke into a home and stole items.
• 2:18 p.m. Thursday, Casey’s General Store, 1019 W. Seventh St., a 61-year-old Ottawa woman reported the theft of motor fuel from the business. Sharayah Madigan, 32, Chandler, Arizona, was later located by officers and arrested in connection with the theft.
• 4:20 p.m. Thursday, 600 block of Bennett Road, a 31-year-old Ottawa man reported burglary and theft of items from the property by an unknown subject.
• 8:23 p.m. Thursday, Walmart Supercenter, 2101 S. Princeton St., a 31-year-old Lawrence man reported an unknown subject stole items. Case is under investigation.
