Rugby union rich list: The highest-paid players in the world
Fri, September 1, 2017Express Sport runs through the best-paid players in rugby union
Jamie Roberts (Harlequins) – £380,000
GETTY
Scotland have been backed by many to be the dark horses of the Six Nations, outsiders for the title at 11/1 despite a nine-try win over Australia and very nearly turning over New Zealand in the autumn.
Wales meanwhile are missing at least 10 players through injury and former Lions coach Warren Gatland will have to work all his magic to extract maximum performance out of the line-up.
The Scots ended a decade-long losing streak against the Welsh at Murrayfield last year, winning 29-13, but you have to go back to 2002 to find their last victory in Cardiff.
The 2018 tournament will get underway on Saturday February 3 when Wales kick off against Scotland in Cardiff at 2.15pm.
The Six Nations coverage for 2018 has been split between ITV and the BBC once again.
ITV will show all of England’s home games as well as four others while the BBC will retain all of the other eight matches including England’s trips to Edinburgh and Paris.
BBC One has the first match of the tournament, with coverage of Wales vs Scotland presented by John Inverdale starting at 1.45pm.
