We already saw a government shut down for a few days and now another one could be looming.
Lawmakers on Capitol Hill have until February 8 to authorize government spending, otherwise the government could once again be closing.
Republican Senator John Thune is counting on bi-partisanship to keep it open.
"I'm hoping both sides can come together to keep the government funded but at the same time address the issues the American people expect us to deal with, and one of which is putting budget caps in place that will allow us to reach our national security requirements" Thune said
GOP leaders expect the House and Senate to vote on a fifth short-term spending bill next week, however that idea is already receiving criticism from Democrats and Republicans.
