Ujjain: Medicinal smoking medical unit begins in Dhanvantri College

Ujjain: Medicinal smoking medical unit was inaugurated in Government Dhanvantri Ayurveda Medical College on Friday. The chief guest was Madhya Pradesh Pharmacy Council chairman Om Jain. In charge principal Dr OP Vyas presided over the programme. It is probably country’s first independent medicinal smoking medical unit.
Jain said that smoking is an evil and it can be replaced with the use of ayurvedic medicines. It is a gift for the society and the society will surely benefit from it. Medicinal smoking medical unit head of department Dr Rakesh Nimze highlighted the importance of medicinal smoking.
Dr Niranjan Saraf started the medical unit after experimenting for five to six years on many asthma patients.
Dr VP Vyas conducted the programme and highlighted all the latest developments in the college. Dr Prakash Joshi provided significant support in starting this medical unit and benefiting the patients. Panchkarma department chief Dr Nripendra Mishra proposed the vote of thanks.
