The Fort Smith Museum of History will host a special program from 2:30-4:30 p.m. today in the museum's Boyd Gallery at 320 Rogers Ave. Floyd Robison and Maxi Dart will construct a reproduction of the six-oared skiff used by Major Stephen H. Long when he selected the site for Fort Smith in the fall of 1817. Upon completion, the skiff reproduction will be included in the updated first-floor Timeline as an interactive exhibit.
