Generic police car stock

MERRILLVILLE -- Indiana State Police are investigating a bullet that apparently struck a vehicle heading northbound on Interstate 65 late Friday.

According to state police personnel, a company vehicle owned by the Thomas Kia auto dealership in Highland was traveling near the 251 mile marker, between Crown Point and U.S. 30, sometime before 8 p.m. when a bullet struck the side of the vehicle.

No injuries were reported, and police continued to investigate the matter Saturday morning.
