J K Cement posts 9.8% growth in net profit

New Delhi, Feb 3

J K Cement has reported a 9.76 per cent growth in net profit at Rs 72.93 crore for the October-December quarter compared with Rs 66.44 crore in the same quarter last year.

Total income stood at Rs 1,151 crore during the three-month period against Rs 1,083 crore in the same period previous fiscal, J K Cement said in a filing to the BSE.

The board has approved brownfield expansion at Mangrol in Rajasthan with a split grinding unit in UP having a total cement production capacity of 42 million tonnes per annum at an estimated cost outlay of Rs 2,000 crore, the company added.
