Court has issued a warrant of arrest for a 36-year-old city suspected conman, Solomon Gawera after jumping bail.
It is alleged that he obtained money under false pretence from over 71 clients promising to secure them jobs in Qatar, Jordan,Oman, Dubai, Canada and Somalia.

Gawera, a proprietor of Gawera Investments Uganda Limited, a company that formerly operated along Luwum Street after a series of complaints from the dissatisfied clients was reported, arrested,charged and remanded to Luzira Prison for 2 years.

After serving his sentence, the same company office was re-opened in Kansanga purporting to be assisting people in getting jobs abroad but rather used to con more people of their hard earned monies up to a tune of Shs231 million according to the company’s bank statements. Gawera was rearrested following complaints under the file CRB 214/2017 remanded on 3rd March 2017 and bailed out 4th April 2017.

However Criminal Investigation Department from Kabalagala Police confirmed that the hunt for Solomon Gawera has been on since 16/01/2018 when he jumped court bail.
