22-year-old youth dies in road mishap in Bhopal

A 22-year-old youth died after his motorbike hit a garbage container in a bid to save another youth trying to cross the road in the morning near Elixir garden under Nishatpura police station area on Friday.

Two injured youths were rushed to a nearby hospital where the youth riding the bike was declared dead while the youth who was trying to cross the road sustained multiple injuries.

The deceased was identified as Sunil Valmiki while the injured was identified as Raman Sharma (24). The injured youth sustained fracture in his leg and was referred to Global hospital for treatment, his condition is reportedly stable.

The incident took place at around 11 am when Raman was crossing the road and Sunil was not able to control his speeding bike and hit Raman and later rammed into a garbage container which proved fatal for him.

The deceased was a resident of Ayodhya Nagar.

The body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation and a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered.

Meanwhile, school bus driver, conductor and two students have a close shape after their bus turned upside down after a truck hit the bus near Ashima Mall under Misrod police station area in the early morning hour on Friday.

The truck bearing registration number MP09H7240 hit school bus bearing registration number MP04PA2047 of Asnani School in which two students were present along with bus driver and conductor. The driver, conductor and two students escaped with minor injuries.

The truck driver escaped the spot leaving the bus. During the investigation it was found that the truck took a wrong turn in the lane and hit the back end of the bus which turned it turtle. Police have registered a case under section 279 and 337 of the IPC.
