A video posted on Facebook teaches a big lesson why one should not leave leftover food on or near a stove. It is a lesson especially for people who own pets because a dog accidentally switched on the stove and started a fire while it was trying to reach for some leftover pancakes. The video was shared by Southwick Fire Department in Massachusetts and they are hoping that it will be a warning to everyone. The video shows the scary fire and the miraculous escape of the dogs from being burnt alive.
The Southwick Fire Department shared the video on Facebook with the post, “First, we always caution about putting items on the stove. In this case, the family pet decided to help themselves to some leftover pancakes while the owners were away. Unfortunately, the dog hit the ignition button on the gas stove. Within minutes you will see the item on stove begin to ignite. In this case, the homeowner was connected to a monitored alarm system calling responders saving severe damage.
