Are you ready for some football? Here are our predictions for Super Bowl LII between the Philadelphia Eagles and the New England Patriots.

Scott McNeish, sports editor
Patriots 24, Eagles 21: Tempting to pick the Eagles with that defense. But the Patriots will figure out a way, because they react and adjust better than anyone in the NFL. Nick Foles probably can’t match Tom Brady, who doesn’t seem to understand excelling in Super Bowl crunch time is supposed to be difficult. Matt Patricia gets a ring before coming to Detroit.

Kristopher Lodes, sports writer
Patriots 27, Eagles 23: If you look outside the quarterback position, the Eagles probably have the better team. But the Patriots have Tom Brady, and if last year’s Super Bowl was any indication, no lead is safe against the Patriots, no matter the deficit. New England finds itself down early, but battles back for a last-minute touchdown to win.

Matt Sisoler, sports writer
Patriots 32, Eagles 27: After last year's historic comeback by New England/meltdown by Atlanta, you can never count out Tom Brady, Bill Belichick and the Patriots. If Rob Gronkowski can suit up, that will put the Pats’ offense at 100 percent. This won't be a blowout. The Eagles’ offense will keep it close, but it’ll still be Brady and the Pats on top again.

Doug Donnelly, sports writer
Patriots 38, Eagles 17: The Patriots won't need a stunning comeback to win this one. Tom Brady wins yet another Super Bowl MVP award, further cementing his greatest-of-all-time status. New England will come out firing on all cylinders with Brady picking apart the Eagle defense for a couple first-quarter scores and a big lead by halftime. The Eagles will score a couple of late TDs to make it look closer than it is.
