Hit guide rail >> Jesse Boyd, 27, of Oxford was riving on Route 1 near Guernsey Road in London Grove Township on Jan. 30 at 2:30 a.m., when he hit a guide rail from the left lane and continued to drive along in contact with it. His car finally came to rest in the left hand lane, police said.

One-car crash >> Kevin Boddy, 59, of Oxford was driving his commercial vehicle on Route 1 in Kennett Township when he traveled off the roadway into the grassy median and struck a guide wire on Jan. 25 at 10:21 a.m. PennDOT came to cut the vehicle out of the entanglement. No one was injured, police said.

DUI >> Aaron Russell Jackson, 29, of Kirkwood was arrested for DUI on Route 472 at Street Road in Lower Oxford Township on Dec. 23 at 10:12 p.m., police said.

DUI >> Richard Hendricks, 25, of Kennett Square was arrested for DUI after he was pulled over in the 200 block of West Linden Street in Kennett Square on Jan. 13 at 11 p.m., police said.

Theft from Vehicle >> An unknown actor broke into two vehicles in the 10 block of Radence Land and Wreath Lane in London Grove Township on Jan. 27 at 1:54 a.m. and took $100 in jewelry from one of the vehicles, police said.

Harassment >> A 34-year-old female fro Elkton, Maryland, hit a 45-year-old male from Landenberg with her car in retaliation for the victim initially punching her in the back while she was sleeping in the 1000 block of Wickerton Road in Franklin township on Jan 10 at noon, police said.

Simple assault >> A 27-year-old male from Oxford was charged with domestic abuse for assaulting a 25-year-old female and related offenses concerning a 3-year-old male and a 10-month-old female in the 10 block of Bullock Road in Franklin Township on Jan. 14 at 12:16 a.m., police said.

Fatal crash >> Juan Jose Manuel Clemente Aguilara, 31, of Kennett Square died when his car hit a tree in the 200 block of Longview Lane in East Marlborough Township on Jan. 27 at 12:23 a.m., police said.

Hit on a turn >> Prudence Turner, 73, of West Chester was not injured in an accident on Route 1 at Ponds Edge Drive in Pennsbury Township on Jan. 7 at 7:08 p.m. She was about to make a left turn but was unable to clear the intersection before being hit by another car. The driver of the striking car suffered a suspected minor injury, police said.

Retail Theft >> Alexis Bolio, 18, and Abigail Campion, 19, both of West Chester were arrested and charged with retail theft at Walmart in East Marlborough Township on Jan. 26 at 1:34 p.m., police said.

Rear End>> A driver was struck from behind while attempting to make a left turn from Route 41 into East Baltimore Pike in London Grove Township on Jan. 12 at 5:59 a.m. The striking vehicle continued on its way, police said.

Harassment >> A 49-year-old male from Atglen pushed a woman and broke her phone in the 800 block of Steelville Road in West Fallowfield Township on Jan. 24 at 10:07 p.m., police said.

Theft >> Someone removed a license plate from a trailer in the 400 block of Dalton Road in Lower Oxford Township between Dec. 1 and 22, police said.

DUI >> A 59-year-old male from Kennett Square was arrested for DUI on Route 1 at Fairville Road in Pennsbury Township on Jan. 14 at 3:36 p.m., police said.

Into a ditch >> A driver was traveling on the ramp to Route 1 from Route 841 in London Grove Township on Jan. 24 at 11:33 a.m. when it the car failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the roadway into a muddy ditch. The driver said she accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brake, police said.

Into a Ditch >> Kristen Busch, 29, of Coatesville was traveling north on Doe Run Road in West Marlborough Township on Jan. 24 at 12:11 p.m. and went off the road into a ditch. The car sustained disabling damage, and Busch was taken to Brandywine Hospital for minor injuries, police said.

Criminal Mischief >> Someone shattered the rear windshield of a vehicle in the 20 block of Circle Drive in East Nottingham Township on overnight on Jan 21. The case is under investigation, police said.

iPhone >> Someone stole an iPhone at Oxford High School in East Nottingham Township on Jan. 18 during school hours, police said.

Southern Chester County Regional Police

DUI >> Brenda M. Gonzalez-Mondragon, 21, of Avondale was arrested and charged with DUI and related traffic offenses, following a traffic stop for erratic driving. The incident occurred on Jan. 21 at 3:03 a.m., in the 100 block of Starr Road, in New Garden Township. Upon making contact with Gonzalez-Mondragon, police observed numerous indicators suggesting intoxication. Field sobriety tests confirmed impairment and she was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI, police said.

Drug charges >> Carol C. Tucker, 67 and Larry W. Tucker, 35, both of Avondale were arrested and charged with violations of the Controlled Substance, Drug, Device, and Cosmetic Act (Act 64), as well as with tampering with or fabricating physical evidence, after the Honda sedan they were in was stopped for erratic driving. The incident occurred on Jan. 21 at 10:04 p.m., in the 1000 block of Newark Road, in New Garden Township. Police observed the vehicle make two wide turns and then cross over the center line. Upon making contact with the driver, C. Tucker, police detected the strong odor of marijuana emanating from within the vehicle. When police walked behind the vehicle to make contact with the passenger, L. Tucker, he was observed taking a bag out of his pocket and handing it to the driver. Police then saw the driver place the clear bag containing suspected marijuana in her coat. Police recovered the contraband and took both into custody. A search incident to arrest revealed additional marijuana on L. Tucker’s person and a clear bag containing Adderall pills was found next to him, police said.

Unauthorized use >> On Jan. 16, police were advised that the driver of a vehicle that they conducted a traffic stop on Sunday, Nov. 26 2017 at 5:50 p.m. at West South & Lafayette Streets and cited for Driving without a License did not have permission to be driving the vehicle. Police charged Armando Camancho-Lopez, 22, Kennett Square, for unauthorized use of an automobile, police said.

Credit card found >> On Jan. 16 , an American Airlines MasterCard issued by CitiBank was found in the street in the 100 block East Maple Alley and turned in at the Kennett Square Police Department, police said.

DUI >> On Jan. 16 at 8:34 p.m., police arrested Jose Lopez-Nunez, 26, Kennett Square, for DUI following the report of an erratic driver at South Union Street and Scarlett Avenue. Lopez-Nunez was released at his residence pending summons from District Court, police said.

Identity theft >> On Jan. 17 at 5 p.m., police received a report of identity theft from a resident of the 600 block Meadow Creek Lane. The resident reported that their parent passed in early January, 2018, and within two days, they began getting phone calls about purchases made and credit card applications submitted in their parent’s name. Apple called regarding a large purchase made, PayPal called thanking them for opening an account, two credit card applications were submitted to Kohl’s, a night stand and dresser were purchased at Ginny’s Department Store, a credit card application was submitted to Barclay card, applications for credit were submitted to Hot Topic, Overstock.com and Wayfair, police said.

Public drunkenness >> On Jan. 19 at 11:56 p.m., police cited Bryan Hopkins, 21, Kennett Square, for public drunkenness after he was observed staggering and stumbling at South Garfield and West Cypress Streets. Hopkins was released to a parent, police said.

Disorderly conduct >> On Jan. 20 at 8:26 p.m., police cited Adam Haley, 26, West Chester, for disorderly conduct following a traffic stop in the 100 block Marshall Street, police said.

Cash found >> On Jan. 19 at 4:05 p.m., a large amount of cash that was found at the ATM located in the 100 block East State Street was turned over to the Kennett Square Police Department, police said.
