One has to wonder about our federal legislators. If they were working in the private sector, they could forget about being paid. There is a better chance they probably would have been fired by now for doing absolutely nothing all year but pushing, shoving, verbally accosting, finger pointing and acting like spoiled children.
Here's a novel idea: maybe the country should consider putting Congress on a piecework payroll system. This way, they would only receive compensation for each piece of legislation they pass with our backing and receive nothing for doing zero. The current setup makes me believe that the politicians don't realize they were elected to work for our good, not theirs.
That being said, good luck seeing anything brought to fruition by this group.
