SEWARD, Neb. -- Colton Kooima scored a game-high 37 points to help No. 11 Northwestern defeat Concordia in a great Plains Athletic Conference men's basketball game played in Seward, Nebraska Saturday.
Kooima hit on 13 of 24 shots from the field and was 8 of 9 from the free throw line as he helped his team improve to 20-4 overall and 10-4 in the GPAC. Nathan Wedel also scored 22 points for the Raiders.
Cordell Gillingham had 20 points to lead Concordia (16-9 overall and 7-7 GPAC).

DOANE 72, DORDT 65: The Tigers outscored the Defenders 27-9 over the first 10 minute of the second half to break open a tight contest then had enough to hold on for a win in a Great Plains Athletic Conference men's basketball game played in Crete, Nebraska Saturday.
Doane held a 35-33 lead at the intermission but took control of play after the break and went on to improved to 12-14 overall and 6-9 GPAC). The Tigers shot 65 percent after the break (13-20) while Dordt made just 10 of 38 shots from the field at the same time (26.3 percent). Nick Kornieck had 17 points and Trace Tupper 15 to lead Doane.
Dordt (11-16 overall and 5-10 ) got 16 points off the bench from Zach Bussard.

All five starters reached double figures for the Prairie Wolves (19-3, 10-4), who made 16 3-pointers om 41 attempts. Ryan Garver led the way with 23 points, while Nate Schimonitz added 21 points and Deion Wells-Ross 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Buena Vista (16-6, 9-4), got a career-high 13 points from Michael Demers in a reserve role. Billy Sparks came off the bench to hit four 3-pointers and score 12 points, while David Jeffries finished with 11 points.
