GURUGRAM: A fitness trainer has been booked for allegedly stalking a 22-year-old executive of a city-based private company. The accused has been identified as Manjeet Kataria, a resident of Rajiv Nagar.

The complainant lives in a rented accomodation in Palam Vihar and works with a private company in the city. Kataria is a trainer at a gym in her neighbourhood.

On Tuesday evening, the woman noticed Kataria, who is known to her, stalking her near Rezang La chowk. "I was returning from office when I saw Kataria following me. I stopped and asked him why he was stalking me. He threatened to kill me and left,"she told police.

She filed a complaint against the accused at Palam Vihar police station on Thursday. An FIR was then lodged under sections 354D (stalking) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of IPC the same day. "A case has been registered and we are verifying the facts," said inspector Vikram Nehra, SHO of Palam Vihar police station.
