Oppo A71 (2018) with Snapdragon 450 And AI Beautify Mode Goes Official

Oppo has launched the 2018 edition of its popular affordable smartphone A71 in Pakistan. The Oppo A71 (2018) is expected to launch in India soon. Here, the company might launch it as Oppo A71s and is expected to price it for under Rs. 10,000.

Talking of specifications, the Oppo A71 (2018) is almost similar to the last generation model save for a few glaring differences. The biggest change is that the MediaTek SoC has been replaced with Snapdragon 450 processor. The chipset is now paired with 2GB RAM (a downgrade from 3GB in last year’s model) and 16GB of storage. There is option to add up to 256GB SD card storage as well.

The software is Android 7.1 Nougat based Color OS 3.2. The dual SIM phone has a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, PDAF, and f/2.2 aperture. The 5MP selfie-camera is aided by AI beautify mode that debuted with Oppo F5 a few months back.

The handset measures 143.1 x 73.8 x 7.6mm and is quite light at 137 grams. Other features include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and 3000mAh battery. The Oppo A71 (2018) is currently listed on Pakistan and Taiwan website in Black and Gold color options. In pakistan, the handset has been priced at at PKR 19,899 that roughly converts to Rs. 11,465 approx.
