LIMA — A new school building, Greenville City Schools, has been awarded LEED Gold Building certification. Lima’s Touchstone CPM and Dayton-based Shook Construction were the construction manager for the $46 million new building project. Partnering with Shook Touchstone for the Greenville City Schools building project was the architectural firm Garmann/Miller Architects, of Minster.
LEED, which stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, sets standards for building construction and operation that will have the least negative impact on the environment and the greatest benefit to the community and the building occupants. The certification is determined by a point system.
