There's only been two arrests so far as thousands join the throng of costumed-clad punters at Waikato Stadium to watch the first day of the inaugural New Zealand Rugby Sevens in Hamilton.
Hamilton Police Detective Inspector Hywel Jones said police were very pleased with the behaviour of Hamilton Sevens fans so far today.
By 4pm only two people had been arrested for disorderly behaviour, Jones said.
"We encourage everyone to remember to drink responsibly and have a fun, but safe time."
And that's what the thousands who packed out the stadium in weird and wonderful costumes appeared to be doing.

Some of the sights included retro tennis players, Dr Seuss and Where's Wally characters, Ghostbusters, basketball players, Alice in Wonderland, lifeguards, a family of Smurfs, beer bottle tops, Fred and Wilma Flintstone and plenty of Mexican hats.
The costume-theme has carried over from the Wellington Sevens, where it was a popular part of the day.
Some punters reported longer-than-expected waits at the beer tents, up to 40 minutes at one, according to one fan.
And let's not forget the sport. New Zealand thumped France in their opening game 52-7, while England beat Russia 47-0 and Australia won over Spain 21-5.
South Africa also trounced Russia 38-0 but Kenya narrowly beat Canada, 19-14.
The event continues tomorrow.
