Ward Number 11, 16 share spoils in Kanggui Inter Ward tourney

Kangpokpi, February 02 2018: Inching closer to the knockout stage, Kanggui Inter Ward Wise Tournament witnessed more crucial game in every match rendering the organizing committee Kanggui Youth Union and the referee board taking stringent measures to avoid any untoward incident during the tournament.

In today's first match Ward No.16 held Ward No.11 team 1-1.Ward No.11 had an early lead when its striker Sasang strike home in the 3 rd minute before Paokhogin of Ward No.16 converted a penalty kick in the 23 rd minute helping his team hold their opponent to a 1-1 draw.

In the second match, the impressive combination of Len Lhouvum and Momo help Ward No.1 (B) registered its second victory in the tournament overwhelming Ward No.12 team 2-1 .

Having scored in every match, Ward No.1 (B) Captain Len Lhouvum struck again in the 46th minute after Kamminlun opener in the 36th before Lamjakai of Ward No.12 pulled back a goal in the 60th minute.

The heated third match between Ward No.2 (A) and 13 also ended with a 1-1 draw rendering Group C in a pool of death.

Jangtinlal of Ward No.2 (A) opener in the 20th minute was lately equalized by Ward No.13 through its striker Lungin when he chipped home after the opponent custodian attempted to catch the ball in fifty-fifty position in the 48 th minute.

Alex of Ward No.13 was booked by the centre referee for intentional handball in the 9th minute.

Tomorrow, Ward No.3 (A) will play Ward No.2 (B) in the first match at 11 am while Ward No.3 (B) will play Ward No.4 (B) in the second match at 12:30 pm and Ward No 10 will lock horn with Ward No.4 (A) in the third match at 2 pm.
