A MEMORIAL tree for a Marston community hero will be unveiled today.

The memory of Old Marston parish councillor Roy Jones was given a permanent physical place in the community with a tree planting at Mortimer Hall Recreation Ground in December.

Now the tree remembering the city stalwart will be officially unveiled at a ceremony today.

Marston city councillor Mick Haines will be leading the unveiling, which takes place at midday.
