VENJARAMMOODU: A wife stabbed by her husband following family feud has been admitted at the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital. She was staying in a rented house with her family in Pirappancode. Her condition is said to be critical.
The incident happened on Saturday by around 1.00 am when husband Sunil Kumaran Nair (47) stabbed his wife Sunija’s (37) neck using a pen knife. Sunil, who has been living abroad for the past several years, returned to his native six months ago. The police have said that argument between the wife and the husband was common over financial issues.
Sunil stabbed his wife yesterday night using the pen knife he had. The neighbours who came rushing listening to the screams of their children informed the Venjarammoodu police about the incident and also rushed Sunija to the hospital.
The police have taken into custody Sunil Kumaran Nair and the knife he used to stab his wife.
