LONDON • A Spice Girls reunion is in the making, though it might not involve actual singing.
The five members of the British band are getting back together for £10 million (S$18.7 million) each to put out new projects, which may include judging a talent show on Chinese television, The Sun newspaper reported on Thursday.
The deal is on, even though Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham has set a condition that she will not have to sing at all, the report said.
The members were said to be having a secret meeting yesterday, the first time all five would be in the same room since 2012.
Their former manager Simon Fuller, who is also the creator of the Idol reality TV franchise, is behind the new deal, The Sun said.
The Spice Girls have sold more than 80 million records worldwide. In 2000, they said they would take an indefinite break and focus on their solo careers. All five briefly reunited for a performance at the 2012 London Olympics.
