Ras Al Khaimah: Shabab Al Ahli recorded their first win in 11 games with a 2-0 over Emirates in matchweek 15 of the Arabian Gulf League. The match played at the Emirates Club Stadium in Ras Al Khaimah saw Shabab Al Ahli grab their fourth win of the season, with their last win also coming against Emirates in matchweek 4.

In the 17th minute, Ismail Salem opened the scoring for Shabab Al Ahli with a goal from a rebound. Full back Walid Abbas moved up and into the box to shoot the ball, only for it to hit the crossbar, before it bounced back to Salem who finished into the empty net.

In the 76th minute, Shabab Al Ahli scored the second goal of the match when Ante Erceg won the ball from Al Husain Saleh just outside of the box. He then cut inside and shot past Ahmed Al Shaji to double their lead. This result puts Shabab Al Ahli in fourth place with 20 points, bettering Al Nasr who sit in fifth place with 20 points on goal difference. Emirates, meanwhile, sit in the relegation zone with 11 points, a single point behind Dibba in tenth place who have a game in hand.

Hatta beat Sharjah

Hatta coasted past Sharjah 3-1 on their own turf in matchweek 15 of the Arabian Gulf League to move out of the relegation zone for the first time this season.

Goals from Brazilian duo Samuel Rosa and Fernando Gabriel were enough to give Hatta the win.

Sharjah’s lone goal — to restore parity after Hatta had gone one up — came courtesy of an own goal by Hatta’s Abdulla Alnobi who headed past his own goalkeeper into the net.

The King are behind Al Jazira in seventh place with 18 points, who have a game in hand.
