A clinic staff was stabbed to death inside the healthcare facility in the capital’s Madhya Badda yesterday afternoon.
Liza Akter, 23, was the receptionist of Haider Digital Dental Clinic.
She was alone in the clinic on the first floor of the six-storey building when one or more persons entered there and stabbed her to death with dental instruments, said Ashraful Karim, senior assistant commissioner of (Badda Zone) Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
The body, with numerous injury marks in the neck and back, was sent to Dhaka Medical College morgue for autopsy, he said.
The victim, who got married to one Arafat a few months ago, lived in Badda.
The building was quiet as doctors usually turn up after lunch on Friday and offices on the other floors remain closed in the weekend, police said.
Police picked up the clinic owner named Haider for interrogation.
